Three Updates

1. We found our daycare. The relief of having this particular detail taken care of is huge. We toured the place yesterday, and compared to the shithole we looked at downtown and the other places too expensive to even look at, it was a little slice of perfection. The staff seemed really into the kids and the kids all seemed happy. It is within budget, clean and the playground made me want to run around and play.

2. Speaking of peace of mind, The Dalai Lama himself will be visiting Chicago this weekend. I plan to attend his morning teaching at millennium park. I go in with an open mind.

3. Last Thursday during a friendly game of cards, your's truly got a Royal Flush. Ace-high straight-flush ... Hearts. And I want it on my permanent record.
